i touch the ground and all the memories start to creep back into me,

of the last moments i held you near,

when i could hear the crackle and gasp of your dying words,

"don't forget..."

and i stared into your always brilliant - now dimming eyes

as i saw you turn the corner from standing on this earth

to walking into the mystery...

i want to push myself into the soil, 

into the darkness,

to open my dim eyes,

to see you now, 

in the

mystery.

i knew i'd find you here...

if i came back often enough

you would eventually realize

how much i missed you,

from all the love letters i wrote here, 

on paper,

or with my kissed-whispers against your stone

blown away in the winds, 

washing rains rinsed my tears of missing you

down into the ground surrounding your casket-bed,

and my dreams invaded your flesh's memory,

making you remember me too...

can you see me now?
